Dear Reader,

I’d like to bring attention to a formal complaint I submitted to the ABC about RN’s The Minefield program broadcast on 16 October 2019.

In the program, presenters Waleed Aly and Scott Stephens discussed the war in Syria with Minefield guest Nader Hashemi.

The complaint was not upheld by ABC’s Audience and Consumer Affairs, so I have submitted an appeal to the Australian Communications and Media Authority (ACMA).

My complaint is not a personal attack on The Minefield presenters, who simply express views on Syria that have dominated our media for nearly 9 years.
